H&M Millennium collection

H&M gaat wéér een geweldige, capsule collectie lanceren! De lijn is geïnspireerd door de film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo en heet daarom ook heel toepasselijk: Millennium!

De populaire boekenreeks van Stieg Larsson, Millennium-trilogie, wordt binnenkort verfilmd. De collectie is geïnspireerd op de kleding van hoofdrolspeelster en heldin Lisbeth Salander. Om het verwachte succes te vieren heeft van origine kostuumontwerpsters Trish Summerville deze collectie speciaal ontworpen voor H&M.

De collectie heeft maar liefst dertig verschillende items waarbij je kledingstijl van Lisbeth Salander goed terug ziet komen. Summerville zegt: ‘Ik wilde deze collectie de essentie en de kracht van Lisbeth Salander meegeven, maar met een modieuze twist. Ik wil dat vrouwen er hun eigen favorieten uit kiezen om die vervolgens te combineren met items uit hun eigen garderobe, en zo hun eigen stijl creëren’. Denk hierbij aan leren jacks en broeken, gescheurde jeans en capuchontruien die je een grungy en urban look geven. Het kleurpalet bestaat uit stoere en donkere kleuren zoals zwart, grijs, donkerrood en verwassen wit. Maar daarnaast is de collectie ook aangevuld met handgeschilderde T-shirts, accessoires en schoenen zoals enkellaarzen met sleehak, grof gebreide must sjaals en leren boots.

Op 28 november wordt de H&M Millennium collectie gelanceerd in warenhuis Colette, Parijs. Wij moeten nog even wachten tot 14 december want dan worden alle items wereldwijd verkocht op de Divided-afdelingen en in het online walhalla.

H&M is going to launch another great, capsule collection! The line is inspired by the movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and is therefore called: Millennium!

The popular book series by Stieg Larsson, the Millennium trilogy, will soon be filmed. The collection is inspired on the clothing of the main actor and hero Lisbeth Salander. To celebrate the expected success the from origin costume designer Trish Summerville designed this collection specially for H&M.

The collection has at least thirty different items true which you can see the clothing style of Lisbeth Salander clearly. Summerville says: ‘I wanted to give this collection the essence and power of Lisbeth Salander, but with a modern twist. I want women to choose their favourites and combine these with items from their own wardrobe to create a personal style’. You can think  of leather jackets and pants, torn jeans and hoodies that give you a grungy and urban look. The colour palette exists out of tough and dark colours like black, grey, dark red and washed white. But besides that the collection is enriched with hand painted T-shirts, accessories and shoes like ankle boots with wedge, knitted hat scarf’s and leather boots.

At 28 November the H&M Millennium collection will be launched in warehouse Colette, Paris. We have to wait until 14 December because then all the item are sold worldwide on the Divided-departments and in the online Walhalla.
