Tamara Mellon zegt vaarwel tegen Jimmy Choo en gaat, volgens de laatste geruchten, een eigen lifestyle label starten!

Velen in de modewereld speculeerden al over haar carrière toen zij afscheid nam van hét schoenenlabel. Vorig jaar verkocht Mellon al haar aandelen in het bedrijf die zij samen met de schoenengoeroe Jimmy Choo in de jaren negentig oprichtte. En nu blijkt dus dat zij wellicht haar eigen lifestyle merk gaat starten!

Ze is niet de eerste in fashion land die deze stap neemt. Tom Ford en Tory Burch gingen haar al voor en met succes lanceerde zij een brede collectie. Insiders hebben al een woordje verklapt aan WWD want deze dame schijnt altijd al een eigen label te willen hebben en nu zou de perfecte tijd zijn om ermee te starten. Ze geeft momenteel geen interviews, dus een bevestiging blijft nog even uit, maar één ding is zeker: geld komt zij niet tekort. Ze schijnt maar liefst € 176 miljoen op haar bankrekening te hebben staan.

Last year Mellon already sold her stocks in the company that she founded together with the shoe guru Jimmy Choo in the nineties. And now it turns out that she might start her own lifestyle brand!

She is not the first in fashion land that takes the next step. Tom Ford and Tory Burch went before her and with success they launched a wide collection. Insiders already have revealed some words to WWD because this lady seems to always wanted an own label and now is the perfect time to start. At the moment she cancels all interview requests, so a confirmation is not there yet, but one thing is for sure: money is not an issue. She seems to have at least € 176 million on her bank account.
