Amsterdam International Fashion Week 2012

Het Amsterdam International Fashion Week is afgelopen. Er waren weer geweldige nieuwe collecties van diverse bekende ontwerpers zoals Spijkers en Spijkers, Supertrash en Bas Kosters. Kijk mee naar een kleine greep van de prachtige collecties die werden getoond op AIFW 2012!

 

Spijkers en Spijkers
Het ontwerpersduo presenteerde haar nieuwe collectie: SIS. Het spektakel begon met een zwart-wit filmpje waar een fragment uit de film Bonnie & Clyde werd getoond. Dé inspiratiebron van zussen Truus en Riet Spijkers. De modellen werden dan ook omgetoverd tot ware ‘Bonnie’s’ met baretten, big hair, hoge hakken en vrouwelijke jurkjes. Het merk staat bekend om haar grafische patronen en grote kleurvlakken die ook ditmaal volop op de catwalk te bewonderen waren in de kleuren roze, rood, blauw, wit en zwart.

Bas Kosters
De show van Kosters werd gesponsord door Vodafone en daarom waren telefoons ook de kern van de show. Het catwalk feest begon met een bekend wachttoontje “Een ogenblik geduld a.u.b., onze medewerkers zijn nog in gesprek”. Waarna de show van start ging en de modellen in gekleurde outfits met print en verrassende kapsels verschenen. De show eindigde met de “Mobile Phone Dress” in de kleuren zwart-wit.

Supertrash
Alle bekende Nederlandse mode liefhebbers waren aanwezig tijdens de altijd spectaculaire show van Supertrash! De Passenger Terminal was helemaal in de stijl van Supertrash en front row stonden matrozen de gasten op te wachten. Olcay had gekozen voor lichte tinten en stoffen met fake fur en kant. De show werd geopend door modellen strak in pak maar ook gekleurde maxi-dresses verschenen later op de catwalk met een diep rugdecolleté.

Gestuz
Deze ontwerpers, Sanne Lene Nielsen en Sehested Boesen, uit Denemarken hun nieuwste collectie ‘Through rocks, waves and frozen creeks’. Ze werden geïnspireerd door het werk van fotograaf Kirsten Klein die de rust, natuur en kust van Denemarken prachtig op de foto zet. De collectie bestaat dan ook uit stoere basics met veel leer en bewerkt met details als veters. Door de kledingstukken een vrouwelijke en sexy touch te geven hebben zij ook kant en pailletten gebruikt. De kleuren? Zwart, grijs, olijfgroen en donkerblauw die werden gecombineerd met de trendy nude-tonen en roodbruin.

Tony Cohen
Cohen heeft gebruik gemaakt van luxe stoffen zoals bont, leer, kant en zijde en deze met elkaar gecombineerd voor een prachtig effect. De kern van de collectie: het silhouet van de vrouw. In samenwerking met DSM (Nederland textielbedrijf) heeft hij speciale technieken toegepast om stoffen te bewerken. Het kleurenpalet bestond uit veel zwart- en grijstinten maar ook paars en dieprood.

Amsterdam International Fashion Week is finishend. There were many great new collections from several well-known designers like Spijkers en Spijkers, Supertrash and Bas Kosters. See some of the gorgeous collections that were shown at the AIFW 2012!

Spijkers en Spijkers
This designer duo presented their new collection: SIS. The spectacle started with a black and white movie where you could a fragment of the movie Bonnie & Clyde. The inspiration source of the sisters Truus and Riet Spijkers. The models were magically transformed to ‘Bonnie’s’ with berets, big hair, high heels and feminine dresses. The brand is well known for their graphic patterns and big colour areas that were brought back to the catwalk this time in the colours pink, red, blue, white and black. 

Bas Kosters
The show from Kosters was sponsored by Vodafone and that’s why the telephone was the core of the show. The catwalk party started with a recognizable waiting tone “One moment please, our employees are busy at the moment”. After this the show started and the models presented coloured outfits with prints and surprising hairdo’s. the show ended with the “Mobile Phone Dress” in black and white.

Supertrash
All Dutch fashion lovers were present during the always spectacular show from Supertrash! The Passenger Terminal was totally transformed to Supertrash style and the front row guests were awaited by sailors. Olcay had chosen for light tones and fabrics like fake fur and lace. The show was opened by models in a beautiful suit but also colours maxi-dresses appeared on the catwalk with a sexy low back cleavage.

Gestuz
These designers, Sanne Lene Nielsen and Sehested Boesen, from Denmark showed their new collection ‘Through rocks, waves and fronzen creeks’. They were inspired by the work of photographer Kirsten Klein who photographs the peace, nature and coast of Denmark beautifully. The collection exists out of sturdy basics with many leather and details like laces. The clothing pieces get a feminine and sexy touch thanks to the lace and sequins they used. The colours? Black, grey, olive green and dark blue that was combined with the trendy nude tones and red-brown.

Tony Cohen
Cohen used luxury fabrics like fur, leather, lace and silk which were combined with eachother for the perfect result. The source of the collection: the feminine silhouette. In collaboration with DSM (Dutch textile company) they used special techniques to work on the fabrics. The colour palette existed out of many black- and grey tones but also purple and red.
