Naaien, knippen, spelden en stikken; vele stappen die gedaan moeten worden voordat deze little black jackets over de toonbank vliegen. De coupeuses zijn dagen bezig om één jasje in elkaar te zetten want alles gaat met de hand. Om ons nu een goede blik te geven heeft Lagerfeld het zwarte jasje in de spotlights gezet en een filmpje gelanceerd waarbij we mee kijken hoe hij wordt gemaakt.

Coco Chanel ontwierp het jasje in de jaren ’50 en Karl Lagerfeld heeft hier continue nieuwe varianten op bedacht. Hij publiceert binnenkort ook diverse foto’s in een boek waarbij prachtige modellen en celebrities het befaamde jasje dragen. Tenslotte zijn deze beauties ook nog te bewonderen tijdens een tentoonstelling in Tokyo die aanstaande zaterdag opent.

The world famous tweed jacket by Chanel is the jacket that many fashionista’s have on their wish list. Take an exclusive peak behind the Chanel sewing studio and see the making off the jacket!

Sewing, cutting, pins and stitching; many steps have to be done before these little black jackets fly over the counter. The working ladies are work for days to finish one jacket because everything goes by hand. To give us a better view Lagerfeld placed the black jacket in the spotlights and launched this video where we can see how it’s made.

Coco Chanel made the first jacket in the fifties and Karl Lagerfeld made many new variants on this first model. He publishes several pictures in a book true which beautiful models and celebrities wear the famous jacket too. At last, these beauties can be admired during a exhibition in Tokyo that opens this Saturday.
