Luxurious, durable accessories by Elvis & Kresse

Het Britse merk Elvis & Kresse heeft duurzaamheid gecombineerd met luxe hoog in het vaandel staan. Zij ontwerpen en produceren luxueuze accessoires gemaakt van gebruikte materialen zoals brandslangen en geeft dit een nieuw leven. 

In 2005 zijn twee Britse ondernemers het merk Elvis & Kresse gestart met één duidelijke missie: de wereld verlossen van afval! Het eerste materiaal dat zij vonden waren brandslangen die de brandweer jarenlang heeft geholpen bij het blussen van heftige branden, maar die normaal gesproken op de afvalberg belanden. Ze gebruiken het materiaal om onder andere tassen, riemen, portefeuilles, iPhone-hoesjes en manchetknopen te maken. Na verloop van tijd hebben zij ook andere materialen gevonden die perfect gebruikt kunnen worden voor deze unieke items zoals canvas, jute en parachutezijde.

Voor het optimale duurzame gevoel verpakt Elvis & Kresse alle items in originele en hergebruikte materialen zoals koffie- en theezakken. Daarnaast stammen ook de labels, verzenddozen en adresstickers van afgeschreven bulkpartijen. Tot slot als kers op de taart schenken ze een substantieel deel van hun omzet aan diverse liefdadigheidsorganisaties.

Nederland is binnenkort een unieke tas rijker want ze lanceren de ‘Dutch tote’. Een tas geïnspireerd op onze boodschappentassen maar uiteraard wordt deze in een modern, duurzaam jasje gestoken. Alle artikelen zijn verkrijgbaar bij onder andere Selfridges en binnenkort ook Harrods. In Nederland is het verkrijgbaar bij Frozen Fountain.

The British brand Elvis & Kresse has sustainability combined with luxury as their high priority. They design and produce luxurious accessories made of re-engineering materials like fire hoses and gives this a new life.

In 2005 two British entrepreneurs started the brand Elvis & Kresse with one clear mission: save the world from trash! The first material they found were fire hoses that the fire-fighters used for years extinguishing severe fires, that normally end up on the waste pile. They use the material to make among others bags, belts, wallets, iPhone-cases and cufflinks. In time they also found other materials that were perfectly used for unique items like canvas, jute and parachute silk.

For the optimal sustainability feeling Elvis & Kresse packages all items in original and used materials like coffee- and teabags. Besides that the labels, delivery boxes and address stickers are from rejected bulk parties. And as the cherry on the cake they grant a significant part of their profit to several charity organisations.

The Netherlands is almost a unique bag richer because they will launch the ‘Dutch tote’. A bag inspired by our groceries bags but off course put into a modern, durable jackets.
